May 29, 2015 – Mintz & Geftic settled a lawsuit arising out of a Bergen County motor vehicle accident for $1,475,000.   Mintz & Geftic’s client suffered an injury to the L5-S1 (lower back) after his car got hit from behind.   The injury resulted in two surgeries.  The first surgery was a fusion and discectomy, and the second surgery was a fusion with a laminectomy.  The case resolved for $1,475,000 in less than two years after it was filed.

November 17, 2015 – Mintz & Geftic settled a lawsuit for $1.1 million that involved work-related injuries suffered by their client.

January 8, 2016 –We are very pleased to congratulate Jeffrey E. Strauss, of counsel to Mintz & Geftic, LLC and Strauss Law Offices, LLC, who, through a relentless and lengthy hard fought legal battle, secured a $15 million settlement in a medical malpractice suit on behalf of an 11-year-old girl from Irvington, New Jersey. An Essex County, New Jersey Superior Court Judge approved the settlement on December 18, 2015, just 10 days before the trial was scheduled to begin.

$21 million verdict, Child Services Negligence-inflicted damages upon a child in foster care. Infant child was improperly placed in foster care and was abused suffering “shaken baby syndrome” resulting in brain damage and multiple bone fractures. Our client, a 41-year-old Jersey City firefighter, who resided in Elizabeth, New Jersey, tripped on steps at his apartment due to worn treads on the interior steps and a wobbly railing. June 20, 2015 – Mintz & Geftic’s Bryan H. Mintz obtained a rating of “Superb” by the attorney rating organization AVVO, which is the highest rating conferred by the organization.  

Mintz & Geftic’s client, a New Jersey worker,  was involved in a multi-vehicle accident.  While driving his truck for work, our client was struck by a car that was pushed forward after it was struck by a truck. Our client suffered with serious injuries as a result of the accident. Injuries included herniated C4-5 and C5-6 discs in his neck.
