Bryan Mintz, of New Jersey’s Mintz & Geftic Law Firm, brought the case on behalf of current and former delivery drivers of a food distribution company. The primary allegation in the class action lawsuit was that the food distributor failed to pay overtime wages. $405,000 settlement of a premises liability action in which the Plaintiff’s foot became snagged in a gap in the floor of a busy office building.  The Defendant created a gap in the floor through construction and failed to repair the gap in a timely manner.  The Plaintiff suffered injuries to her upper extremities triggering a complex regional pain syndrome that forced her into extensive medical care and disability from work for over two years. Her injury is permanent yet under control. The recovery included compensation for pain, suffering and disability as well as reimbursement for medical bills owed.  (Middlesex County, 2016).

$1,136,500 settlement for an individual who fell from scaffolding while at work suffering a work-related injury.  The settlement included a recovery of $1,000,000 for negligence and $136,500 for workers compensation benefits. (Essex County, New Jersey 2015).

$3.2 Million settlement in a medical malpractice case brought on behalf of a 14-year-old girl from Hillside, New Jersey. When she was just 16-months-old, our client was misdiagnosed by a New Jersey hospital emergency room. As a result of the misdiagnosis, there was a delay in treatment at a point when timing was absolutely critical. Plaintiff then lost his balance, backpedaled and fell hitting his head on the ground causing a skull fracture that triggered a deteriorating condition culminating in his death three months later.
