New Jersey “Transportation Armageddon”

New Jersey "Transportation Armageddon"

Hello fellow New Jersey drivers. Just a few quick questions for you.

  1. How would adding 72,000 commuters PER DAY to New Jersey’s highways affect you?

  2. Have you ever sat in traffic in New Jersey trying to get to the Lincoln Tunnel?

  3. What would increasing that Lincoln Tunnel traffic by an additional 25 MILES into New Jersey mean to you?

I’m guessing some of your possible answers were:

Question 1

How the bleep do you think it would affect me?

How expensive is a helicopter and how long before I can learn to fly one?

How’s the job market and home prices in Montana these days?

Question 2

What the bleep do you bleeping think?!

What a dumb #*!@$ question!

Question 3

Well, if I leave by 4am every morning, I can probably make it into the city by lunchtime.

If not Montana, maybe Kansas is a good place to move to. There’s not much traffic in Kansas, right?

New Jersey Accident Lawyers – “Travel Armageddon”

As one of New Jersey’s premier auto accident law firms, we at Mintz & Geftic like to keep our readers up to date on important events affecting our roadways and transportation. Whether it’s about Labor Day traffic on the Garden State Parkway with Tropical Storm Hermine heading our way or what to do when you get serious injuries in a car crash; if it affects New Jersey drivers, we want you to know about it.

With that said, how many of you are familar with the Gateway Project? For those that haven’t, the Gateway Project would build two new rail tunnels under the Hudson River between New Jersey and New York, allowing the current 106-year old tunnels to be taken out of service to have flood damage from Hurricane Sandy repaired.

A group called Common Good is concerned that a red tape delay in the Gateway project would force one of those old tunnels to be closed for repairs before the new tunnels are built. If this happens, we might be writing a blog from Topeka in the near future.

We strongly suggest checking out this video from the Common Good and created by Alex Marino, a former writer for “The Daily Show”.
