Martin Mintz, longtime local attorney and partner of Elizabeth’s Mintz & Geftic law firm, played in a benefit pickleball tournament on September 23rd at Kawameeh Park in Union to help raise money for the family of a local woman, Valencia Shairy. Valencia sadly lost her battle with breast cancer in August at the age of 37 after a long courageous fight that lasted over fourteen months. After a five-day trial in Hudson County, Mintz & Geftic’s Bryan H. Mintz obtained a jury verdict against New Jersey PATH for work-related injuries suffered by his client. The NJ PATH worker tripped and fell while carrying a bridgeplate, which is used to bridge the gap between the train platform and the train.
